Remittances from Moroccan Expatriates totaled MAD 100.29 billion at the end of October 2024, compared with MAD 96.51 billion during the same period a year earlier, according to Morocco’s Foreign Exchange Office.
These transfers were up by 3.9% (MAD +3.78 billion) compared with the first ten months of 2023, according to the Office in its recent bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.
The bulletin also reports a services balance surplus down 1.2% to MAD 111.26 billion, due to a greater increase in services imports (+16.6%) than in exports (+7.3%).
Travel revenues stood at around MAD 96.92 billion at the end of October, compared with MAD 88.63 billion a year earlier.
Travel expenditure stood at MAD 24.68 billion (+20%). The travel surplus improved by 6.1% to MAD 72.24 billion at the end of October 2024.
