Moroccan exporters operating in the West African market are in a “state of discontent” due to the “delay in announcing the prices and the size of the permitted cargo tonnage” following the announcement of the opening of the new Agadir-Dakar sea route, Hespress AR learned from an informed professional source.
The same source said that the announcement of this line “was made mysteriously, without more information, especially regarding the shipping rates and loads allowed for Moroccan exporters.”
The Hespress source added that this “clearly contributed to confusion and the lack of an actual launch of this new maritime line.”
The source stressed that this approach “was one of the first demands of Moroccan exporters, given the great opportunities it offers them, especially relieving the pressure on the Guerguerat land crossing.”
