Africa-focused mining company Aterian has announced promising results from its Azrar copper-gold project in Morocco, with recent tests revealing 2.97 grams of gold per tonne, 16 grams of silver per tonne, and 2.92% copper.
Chair Charles Bray commented, “The discovery of a significant copper-gold zone at the Tifrit target in northeastern Azrar reaffirms our decision to keep Azrar as a high-priority exploration project. We will focus on defining drill targets after completing detailed surface mapping, geophysics, and trenching. The latest results show strong potential for multiple robust targets and mineralisation styles, with a growing pipeline of targets identified by our field team. Azrar shows similarities to other successful local mining projects, which is encouraging.”
