Morocco’s Minister of Culture, Mehdi Bensaid, announced the country’s goal to surpass 1.5 billion dirhams in foreign investments in the film sector by 2025.
In a speech to the House of Representatives on Monday, Bensaid highlighted an increase in government support, raising public funding for foreign productions from 20% to 30%.
Foreign productions in Morocco, including films, TV series, and commercials, have attracted investments from countries like the US, France, Germany, and Japan.
